"At this point I'm on my 3rd or 4th pair of the 8 inch Gantry and it's literally the only boot I will buy anymore. Excellent toe protection, fair bit of heel coverage with their bumper design as well which is ideal for my work/life (industrial assembly technician) and they fit great from day-1. Used to always get Rocky but they switched to side-zip so I dropped them and honestly glad it happened from a serendipitous perspective, these absolutely run circles around them in comparison in durability, protection, comfort, traction, every single metric that separates a "good boot" from a "GREAT BOOT". Be amazed how difficult it is to find black boot, full-height, full-lace, safety toe, waterproof, and this checks EVERY box and then some, customer for life as long as they keep making this model."

One year later

"After a year I am updating my previous review. I will probably chance buying these boots again because the light composit toe and the sole and toe guards combined with waterproof membrane are unmatched. However one of the two pairs bought pinch the tool of my foot where the notch is buy lace eyelets. I put a medical bandage about 1/8 inches thick on top of my ankle and that solves the problem. Also the special protective leather finish is peeling on the instep of both pairs but this seems to be only a appearance issue the leather is intact"
